Congress Avoids Shutdown, Extending Medical Marijuana Protections to January
Today, President Trump signed yet another short term funding bill that includes the Rohrabacher-Blumenauer Amendment. This crucial amendment has stopped the Justice Department from using federal funds to interfere with state medical marijuana programs for years, and it is safe for now. But this spending bill along with the medical marijuana protections are only extended until January 19.

This is something that I am glad is still going but the 19th isn't very long at all. We need this legalized on the federal level yesterday for sure. This actions to just "kind of deal with it" are going to run out and Sessions is going to use everything he has to try to waste more taxpayer money going after ridiculous marijuana issues. He has already indicated that he wants to but he just needs more ammo like this.
